Dioramas:
Stable Block: Double stall block with sliding door and tack/feed room space available.
Inspiration:
For this diorama I took inspiration from a multitude of miniaturists blogs, stealing tidbits or general creative vibes from the following:
http://lastalliancestudios.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/how-to-get-that-lived-in-look.html - Christine was my biggest influence - after being an avid and envious follower of her blog, I felt I needed a yard, with dioramas to represent all the wonderful little aspects of a true stable yard. Since I really can't list every post or photo I have sat and drooled over, I'm going to simply put a link to a tutorial that I will never be able to thank her enough for (and that you will have seen is a rolling theme through ALL of my dioramas!) - vinegar wood stain (yes, it stinks as bad as you would imagine...)!
http://www.otterine.com/blog/blog1.php/milo-valley-farm-a-pictorial - this blog had particular influence on my choice of door, and well documented the process of creating their own diorama. This provided clear explanations on the mechanics of the sliding mechanism.
http://mitchymoominiatures.blogspot.co.uk/2015_12_01_archive.html - I can't really remember what, if anything, this blog directly inspired in my build, but I know that I read this blog a lot before and during the creation of the stable, and if nothing else it got the creative juices flowing!
